Cimarron Strip aired on CBS for only one season (September, 1967 - March, 1968). Filmed in color, it ran 90 minutes and was produced by the creators of Gunsmoke.
The series starred Stuart Whitman (b. 1928) as Marshall Jim Crown. The time period of this show was 1888 and was set in the Oklahoma Panhandle which was composed of Beaver, Texas and Cimarron County in Oklahoma.
Cimarron Strip's theme music was composed by Maurice Jarre who also composed the scores for Lawrence of Arabia and Doctor Zhivago.
